For us, this is certainly one of our favorite origins. The average level of quality is exceptionally high and we are continually amazed by the bright, floral, berry-like and juicy cup profiles that we can routinely expect from Kenyan coffee. As an origin we commit to purchase every season, we have had the opportunity to work with some incredible cooperative lots in the previous harvest seasons and introducing fresh Kenyan coffee to our offering is always a joyous occasion. With a harvest season between October and January, we often receive fresh green beans by early Summer.
We currently work with Kenyan coffee from multiple growing regions, varying from the more centrally located factories situated around the magnificent Mount Kenya, to coffee from the outer reaches of the country towards Mount Elgon in the east, bordering on neighboring Uganda. The high standards of the sorting of cooperatively grown lots, as well as the rigorous and stringent processing procedures, ensure that we will continue to work with coffee from Kenya with every new harvest season.
