Kayon Mountain
Kayon Mountain Farm is a specialty coffee estate located in the Guji zone of southern Ethiopia, an area known for producing some of the country's most distinctive and expressive coffees. Established by Ismael Hassen Aredo, the farm focuses on producing high-quality coffees while working closely with the surrounding community and natural environment.
Situated at high elevation in the Guji highlands, Kayon Mountain benefits from cool temperatures, fertile soils, and ideal conditions for slow coffee cherry development. The farm's coffees are particularly appreciated for their floral aromatics, vibrant acidity, and complex combination of fruit and tea-like characteristics.
Kayon Mountain has become increasingly recognized within the specialty coffee industry for its carefully selected lots and detailed processing. The farm is operated by Ismael Hassen Aredo, an Ethiopian coffee company founded by brothers Asefa and Mulugeta Dukamo. The company works across the coffee supply chain, including production, processing and export, with a focus on high-quality coffees from southern Ethiopia.
