Our Roastery

At April, our primary focus is on roasting. It's not just our profession, but also our passion and ambition.
Founded in 2016 with an enduring vision to elevate coffee quality standards, this stays our main objective today. In the spring of 2023, we inaugurated our new R&D Headquarters just outside of Copenhagen, marking a significant milestone for April.
The roastery is a creative hub, where precision roasting meets innovation, and every batch is crafted to express clarity, and balance. Whether you’re visiting the roastery in person or brewing at home, we offer an experience that celebrates both craftsmanship, terroir & community.
State of the art machinery
We have been working on Loring for many years now, and in 2022 we purchased our first roaster, a Loring S15 Falcon, which we have upgraded to a S35 in the fall of 2024.
Quality Control & Research
In addition to the roastery, we established a lab dedicated to quality control and research. To enhance the quality of the green coffees we use, understanding all the variables is essential. Our lab monitors the lots before they arrive in Copenhagen and throughout the season. The data we gather is also valuable to our partner farmers.
