This is a Pre-Order, we will roast and ship the coffees in this box on October 28th. This means that if you place an order with other items/coffees, the whole order will ship week 44.

Peter Mbature is a third-generation coffee producer, proudly managing the Kamavindi Coffee Estate in Embu County, Kenya. Home to more than 10,000 coffee trees, the estate cultivates a range of varietals that are highly regarded in Kenyan coffee, from SL28 to Ruiru 11. For this limited release, we worked closely with Peter, drawing on his expertise in cherry selection and varietal separation to present three distinct lots:

  • Washed Processed SL28 (AA) – Green Apple, Gooseberry & Florals – (100g)

  • Washed Processed SL34 (AA) – Berries, Florals & Plum – (100g)

  • Washed Processed Mixed Varietals (AA) – Blackberries, Red Apple & Florals  – (100g)

Each lot was harvested only at peak ripeness — an assessment that looks quite different depending on the varietal — and then meticulously washed and processed under Peter’s guidance.

The result is a set of coffees that each highlight the unique character of their respective varietal, shaped further by the local growing conditions, careful harvest, and precise processing.

This release offers a rare chance to taste how separating varietals can illuminate differences in flavor complexity, intensity, and composition — cup by cup.
